Responding to the COVID-19 Crisis
As Tennessee moves forward in response to COVID-19, faith-based and community organizations are looking for resources to help navigate this unfamiliar situation. The Governor’s Office of Faith-Based and Community Initiatives will update this page with resources to provide guidance. Please contact us if you have questions.
Guidance for Gathering together in Houses of Worship.
We know that congregations are eager to gather again to worship, sing and pray. As leaders, however, your wisdom and insight are critical to protecting your flock at this time. We strongly encourage you to prayerfully consider the health implications of coming together in your house of worship as the COVID-19 virus is still present throughout the state of Tennessee. Some faith communities have had to close their doors again as outbreaks occurred among their members after reopening.
Annual Report 2019-2020
Each year, The Governor’s Office of Faith-Based and Community Initiatives compiles an Annual Report to present to the Governor and Legislature. We invite you to have a look at our First Year's Report, and pray for us as we enter our second year of working to bring together houses of worship, nonprofits and state agencies to solve Tennessee's biggest challenges.
